On Oct. 21, 2009 nine year old Elizabeth Olten was murderd. Eighteen year old Alyssa Bustamante was convicted of killin her. On Monday, Jan 10, 2011, Alyssa was plead guilty of seconded degree. She was only 15 years old during the killing. This all happened in St. Martins. Bustamante told authorities that she strangled, cut and stabbed her 9-year-old neighbor and concealed her body in nearby woods because she wanted to know how it felt to kill someone. In court she trys to say sorry to Elizabeth family. "I really am extremely, very sorry for everything. I know words can never be enough, and they can never adequately describe how horribly I feel for all of this, If I could give my life to get her back I would. I'm sorry." Bustamante wrote in her journal on Oct. 21, 2009 — the night of Elizabeth's death — in which she admitted to having just killed someone."I strangled them and slit their throat and stabbed them now they're dead," Bustamante wrote in her diary, which was read in court by a handwriting expert. "I don't know how to feel atm. It was ahmazing. As soon as you get over the 'ohmygawd I can't do this' feeling, it's pretty enjoyable. I'm kinda nervous and shaky though right now. Kay, I gotta go to church now...lol." She has been sentenced to life in prision.
